Regular Lessons
You’ll learn the basics of ikebana, such as;
How to use Ikebana scissors
How to properly cut materials according to their types
How to treat the materials to stay fresh for a more extended period.
How to find the most beautiful aspect of each plant material
How to trim off the branches to make them better suited for the arrangement
How to bend materials to create beautiful lines
How to properly fix the materials onto a Kenzan, a needlepoint holder
The basic shapes and proportions of Ikebana
The combination of the materials
You need to bring only a pair of plant scissors and perhaps something to bring flowers home.
Everything you need, such as containers/vases, kenzan (needlepoint holders), water pitcher, wiping cloths, bucket, the waste bin, is provided at the venue
Since the students practice at their own pace with the textbook and instructor’s individual attention and guidance, you can start at any time.
Regular group lessons are held on Wednesdays
Start anytime between 11:30~13:00, stay as long as you'd like till 15:00
$50/lesson for drop-in
Plus $25 if you need us to provide appropriate materials.
Another pricing is available for certificate courses and private lessons.
If you would like to form a private group lesson with your family and friends,
the fee is $300/lesson for up to six students plus material costs of $25 x number of students.
Different pricing applies if you are looking at holding a class at a different venue.

After completing each textbook, I can apply for your global certificate at the Sogetsu School of Ikebana Headquarters in Japan.

通常のレッスンの流れ
1) レッスン時間内で、都合の良い時間を事前に予約する。
2) レッスンでは、テキストの単元に従って自分のペースで生けます。植物と向き合う貴重な時間です。
3) 一人一人懇切丁寧にお教えします。
4) 1時間程でいけ上がったら、各自写真撮影。
5) その後は、ほかの生徒さんの作品を見たり、おしゃべりを楽しんだり。
美味しいコーヒーか紅茶とお茶菓子でリラックスしたひと時をお過ごしください。
こちらも楽しみのひとつです。
毎週水曜日11:30〜13:30くらいまでに入室
$50（1レッスン毎の場合）
お得な証書コースもございます(修了時には、証書申請費用がかかります)。
使用する花材は、最初のうちはこちらでまとめて準備できます($25/レッスン)
また気心の知れたお友達やご家族とのセミプライベートレッスンをご希望の場合は、レッスン日時を可能な限り選んで頂けます。
こちらは6人までで$300、プラス花材費$25x人数分必要になります。

レッスンに持参するものはハサミのみ。花器、剣山、水差し、水切りボール、雑巾などのお道具類はこちらで用意しております。
お花を持ち帰る袋や包むものがあれば良いですね。
草月カリキュラム
草月のテキストは、写真や花型図で分かりやすく説明された基本の形とそのバリエーションを繰り返す事によって、いけばなの基本を学べるようにできています。
そして基本から応用へ、その先のアート的なフリースタイルの過程を経て、楽しんでいるうちに師範も目指して頂けます。
師範になっても、そこが終点では無く、ここからが新たなる旅の始まりです。
お花は一生楽しめるもの。
